OKay PS3 expert gamers, I would like to ask for opinions about DDR (Dance, Dance Revolution). I have seen different floor mats for this game. Can anyone tell me which one works best. I don't want the mat to slip around on the carpet and I don't want to fall and break my neck. Do any of the mats actually light up?
Also, does only one company make DDR? Risking being flamed here, I also ask if anyone thinks DDR for Wii is any better -- or should I go for the PS3 version? Thanks in advance to all of you PS3 (and possibly Wii) gurus.. ![]() |

Why not nail the mat to the floor if you are worried about slippage, or lots of duct tape perhaps lay a few feet of concrete down and place the mat in the wet concrete and place pressure on the mat so it makes contact with concrete but not too deep and when it drys you will have a mat that should stay put.
But maybe nailing it down on all corners sounds like the more secure method but I don't know what they make those things out of do you think movement would cause additionally tearing. Ohh edit got a good one how about surround the mats with a brick wall, that should prevent slipage maybe 1 or 2 feet high... or you could just place 4 bricks on each corner... Never used one, never played one. But there is a special matting material that is used to prevent slippage. It's a rubbery mesh that you put under carpets. It's cheap and you could probably find it in carpet stores or even Home Depot.
Just don't be wearing socks or high heels on the mat. fuad |

If you've got the funds, metal pads are the best, just make sure they aren't the flat type. Red Octane's AFterburner works wonders. I'd advise against Cobalt Flux; they're flat and have no location feel. I find I drift off the arrow buttons mid-song.

This is the best advice in the thread. I'm not much into DDR but my friends that do swear by their metal pads. I don't know what brands they use, though.
