Question How do I get it to work?

I am new to the entire home theater age and 1080p components. I recently purchased a home that has all the latest 1080p equipment.

Mitsubishi HC6000 projector
Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver
DirecTV H20 satillite receiver
Panasonic DMP-BD30 Blu-ray disc player
Da-Lite 110" Cinema Contour screen
All Triad speakers and subs for a 6.2 system

All equipment is connected using HDMI, I believe the HDMI cable connected from the receiver to the projector is about 50 feet and it looks as though it might have a amplifier built into one end. All other cales are from a company called Gefen. When I first looked at the house the equipment was playing but intermitently. I still decided to take it all and figure it out myself. Well I have not as of yet.
It looks as though some items won't talk to one another mainly the blue ray player. I get a code of U73. There are times when everything is working fine but all of a suden the picture will go out rather it's Blu-ray or DirecTV. I have done some connecting and disconnecting of cables and still the same issues. I did come to one conclusion and that is if I turn the HDMI video output to off everything seems to work fine but the it does not pass 1080p signals and I thought that is what Blu-ray is supposed to do. Does anyone have the same or similar configuration I need help.
