Default Anyone afraid your UPS packages being stolen from your doorstep?

Well I didn't get home till 11 o'clock today and I'm supposed to be receiving 10 Blu-rays today. Its 4:30 right now and I'm getting paranoid since I usually get packages at 1. I'm starting to get worried cause I live in an area full of college students who aren't above stealing things from your doorstep :\

I'm always afraid of my stuff being stolen when delievered. Thats why when ever something of any value to me is being delievered, I stay home.

Have you checked tracking info on the UPS website? It should say whether it was delivered or not or whatever the status is...

Exclamation Good fortune so far, but ...

I live in a second-story condo and the landing is not visible from the street. My front door is also right next to the chimney so the delivery guys can hide it from sight of the stairway.

I haven't had anything stolen yet ... although it was a little disconcerting the day they left my RX-V3800 by the door without asking for a signature.

After many years of ordering online and shipped thru UPS/FedEx, not one has been stolen (knock on wood).

They even tossed a package up on my balcony one day so it wouldn't lie by my door.

Really weird -- I saw online it had been "Delivered" but it took forever to find the stupid thing because they'd never done that before.

yeah it freaks me out. But I've been fortunate as most have to never have that happen yet. In fact, has that happened to anyone here?

This is one of the reasons why I dislike UPS, FEDEX, & DHL. I try to avoid ordering anything online if these are the only shipping methods. Probably why I haven't taken advantage of my Prime account.

Same here. I do have the advantage of being able to work from home, and definitely do when I have important packages coming.

My usual UPS driver (I call him "T" b/c his name is Ted) has my pass-code for my garage, so he leaves my packages in there for me......

I live in a nice, quiet, suburban neighborhood. Never had anything stolen off the porch. Had a few packages show as "delivered" that weren't, but chalked that up to them being delivered to incorrect addresses. Amazon has always shipped me a replacement, NQA.
