Why do audio packages come with DVD players?

I get annoyed with all the reciever/speaker packages that come with DVD players and multiple disc drives. They might as well come with a VCR. I think most buyers would prefer NOT to have the dvd drives included with their audio set ups. They are two seperate technologies. It would be like buying a TV and having a DVD player come with it... who cares! Its just a waste when I already have a player (blu-ray at that!)
