Best Buy has started an automated calling campaign, calling everyone who their records indicate purchased an HD-DVD player before 23 FEB 08 to tell them that they are sending them a gift card, and refers them to their website

On this site they explain that they are sending everyone who bought a DUD a gift card for $50... also notice that the three links on the left side of the page are to shop for:

Blu-ray disk players
Blu-ray disk Movies
Playstation 3

yea, i saw a stack of hd dvd players for 360 sitting on a crate... with a price tag of 49.99...all alone....nobody noticing them....
