Default transformers

Okay, this is not another "when is it coming?" thread. I have not seen transformers yet (I know, I know) I really want to watch it, but I don't know if I should wait til the blu-ray or just watch it now. A friend brought the DVD over the other day and I didn't want to watch it at the time. So, for those who have seen it, should I wait or not?

It depends on how long you are willing to wait. Its a great movie and would recommend watching it now because the blu-ray won't be out for several months

Just go buy the 1986 Transformers Movie. It has Orsen Wells in it. Even better, read the plot on Wikipedia. Ebay all of the action figures from the movie. Buy a brunette Barbie Doll. Then you can recreate they movie.

Perhaps we should ask Penton-man's wolfpack for advice on this.

In all honesty it is a Michael Bay film, good action and sound. The story is about as thin as a strand of hair, but when has that ever mattered with an action move. I mean if the story and characters mattered Arnold would never have made a single movie. You'll probably enjoy it whenever you watch it, but you would enjoy it more in hi-def, or is that high-def, perhaps HD, they change it so often I don't which to use, I know BLU-RAY.

It depends on when you would like to be disappointed. This movie is pretty bad but it's a Michael Bay film so what can you really expect? Big action, stupid characters, and an even stupider plot. As an example of how low the film sinks, the Autobot Bumblebee pees on a man for "comic effect" or as the movie phrases it he "lubricates" the man. I suppose it might have been funny if I were 6 six years old, but as an adult it's a moment that makes you cringe.

It's worth watching, my son got it for Christmas and doesn't look to bad upscaled on my PS3, however it doesn't help me wait for the BD, I know it can look and sound a hell of a lot better!

If you haven't seen it by now, you might as well wait.

whether or not it'll look better we prob can't tell, but it sure as hell gonna sound better with lossless audio. if paramount would make us wait this long and not give us lossless audio, i will boycott the title.
