Angry Am I the only person getting mad about BB exclusive editions not for Blu-ray?

So we are the people spending more money on movies yet we always get screwed out of the Best Buy exsclusive stuff (packaging, stupid little toys etc..) here in Canada we at least got I Am Legend in a steel case at Futureshop. but what about Best buy, i see Alvin and the Chipmunks comes with plush toys with the dvd....but not with the blu ray, whats the deal??

I feel the same way, as I'm a total sucker for a special edition or a different case from the standard version. I would totally buy way more BD's if they were a steelbook version or any special edition version that differs from the standard.

Once blus start selling btw 500k and a mil for a new release, you'll start seeing exclusive stuff packaged w/ them. Till then, you'll just have to buy your stuffed chipmunks at the toy store like everyone else........or from a taxidermist.

Best Buy has a special edition for Blu-Ray... it comes with 3 plushies for the same price as the Blu-Ray without them.

if they can sell more DVDs now, it's just more Blu's they'll sell when those consumers upgrade in a couple of years! I think the fear behind the "all digital" signal, etc. will cause another big push in the LCD/Plasma sales, and then the Blu players will follow......

P.S. just so its clear, I really have no intention of buying Alvin and the Chipmunks It was just an example of how that came with something on DVD and not Blu

I am so PEEVED that I am about to pop a vein. Blu-ray packaging could be ... and should be ... so much better than it is. Harry Potter's TRUNK box set was cool. At least both the oldray DVD and Blu-ray discs received the same special packaging.

This tends to get tedious. I don't want different packaging or toys, just the flippin movie. Too many complaints. Oh, and yes I want all my movies in my racks to look the same and uniform.

you missed my point, im not talking about a slip cover for every movie, Im saying its nice to get a little free toy or something special when you buy a movie, especially when it comes with the standard DVD, Justice League came out and had a green latern toy with the SD movie but nothing with the Blu Ray, im saying thats its not right for us to pay more for the same movie and get jipped

It's because people smart enough to own/purchase blu-ray's already know that plush toys are pointless.

The blu-ray giftset edition of Alvin and Chipmunks does come with the plush toys.

Edit: ...and before you ask, I bought it this morning so I'm sure.
