It depends on the nature of them, it's potentially a large amount of work to start writing java code to do the same thing as you had already created with hdi for an hd dvd.

release it quick without extras or release it later with extras... which one would I buy... ![]() it would depend on how long it takes to give cloverfield blu-ray edition the extras it deserves but... first thing I watch is the main movie... but I also like to watch extra features after I watched the movie too ![]() |

Although I very rarely care about extras, this is one movie that I would like to find out anything more than the movie tells you. I'll still get it though.

"They need to scrap the extras to get the Blu-Ray out on time".
What? If the extras were already made for HD-DVD, why could they not just be ported over to BD? I'm thinking this story is B.S. but if so, this is a blatant double-dip. |

The whole HDi interface used on HD DVD's is much different than the java interface used on Blu-rays. It would likely take a good deal of time to rework the extras to put them on Blu-ray. It would likely turn out to be a double dip at some point yes but it is either get the release of the movie out on Blu-ray day and date to capitalize on sales vs getting the movie out with all the features intact on Blu-ray at a later day and lose out on a lot of sales. They need to have it day and date to get decent sales numbers.
