Question Effects of hardware profiles on PC equipment

Will the 3rd hardware profile that comes out at the end of this year have any effect on BD-ROM drives? I doubt it makes any difference to the drive.

Will it affect video cards' hardware acceleration abilities? I.e. - if you want to use your video card for hardware acceleration will you need to get one designed to support the new hardware profile?

One of the changes in the 2nd hardware profile was a new color gamut. HDTV sets will have to adjust to that, does anyone think this will affect desktop LCD displays? The color gamuts of LCD technology are so limited it may not be important - and I think the primary color of desktop displays are different and are not capable of really getting it right no matter how you slice it.
