Default DVDs in 480p or 720p/1080i?

When I play DVDs on my PS3, should I have it set to 480p or 720p/1080i?

Does it make a difference with DVD?

This depends on your display. Set the PS3 to the maximum that your display could handle. In this way, you would get better PQ (in most cases). The PS3 will upscale SD to HD when it is necessary. If your display supports HDMI handshake, PS3 auto video setting also would work.
