I'd agree with those as well...except don't know who Sturgess is...I think Joaquin Phoenix gets better in every role as well.

Phoenix, loved him in Signs...his reaction when he sees the alien on video is one of my favorite in cinema history...its looks so genuine, felt like I was looking in the mirror...

After seeing "There Will Be Blood," I would have to say that Daniel Day-Lewis is probably the most talented actor alive.
His performance was unmatched by any I've ever seen.
Not far behind in terms of talent would be Sean Penn, and Johnny Depp.

Yes, what an amazing performance in Gangs of New York...mesmerizing...I haven't seen "There will be Blood", but I am expecting great things...can't wait for the Blu-ray on that one.

he was in Across the Universe. He was entertaining in my opinion. (Not the same caliber as the other two I mentioned.) His new movie "21" looked interesting.

He is very good. I think Edward Norton is incredible--it seems like he is starting to work more again after making very few movies for a period...
