PSN Cards - Confused here... - Blu-ray Forum

I just read on IGN that Sony will soon be releasing PSN cards for retailers (as well as an PS3 update that has in-game XMB - dig it!).

I must admit I'm confused about this, because for months now I've seen these gift cards available at my local military exchange...are they not supposed to have them? I've never used one, so not sure if they work or not.

Anyone else?

theres the ps3 gift cards and the psn store cards.

I went to the playstation store in the Metreon and they are both different things, one is just a gift card with "Playstation 3" written on it, its not a psn card or anything, just a gift card for somewhere.

PSN cards are much different, they are for the people who are scared to use a credit card or those who dont have it so that they can download stuff on the playstation store network store.

Good idea - I'll stop by later today and take a pic...thought I bet they are PS3 gift cards like mentioned above...

It is a money system like the microsoft points for the xbox. So that way, if your kid want's to buy a game in the psn store or download content that you have to pay for, you can buy the card in a regular store, and use it on the psn network as currency without having to input your CC info on your profile.

I prefer to just have my card on file... These would make good gift cards though.
