Superhero Movie release July 8th ?

Knowing that this was not from the terrible directors who made Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans, I went and saw this. It was very very funny and well done. But the DVD has only been announced for July 8th. I distinctly remember Weinstein stating that they would be doing Blu-ray by the middle of this year. Well, July is the middle of the year, and a Blu-ray was not announced! I am so pissed right now. Let's go Weinstein!

I won't buy this one, but there's other stuff I want from them like Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair and the Grindhouse double feature.

And before anyone tries to correct me, Kill Bill:THBA is Weinstein, the individual volumes are Miramax/Disney.

But honestly, regardless of how or by who it was done, I won't buy this - if they really wanted to break from the crap parody group, they shouldn't have titled it "Superhero Movie."

And I want Kill Bill: TWBA.

its alot more naked gun/airplane humor then epic movie/date movie . i thought it was quite funny.

Actually, Weinstein isn't responsible for Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans (they're Fox)--
The Weinsteins broke up with Jason Friedberg and Aaron Setzer after "Scary Movie 2", brought in the Zucker Bros. to write Scary 3+4, and there's been a bitter division between the two sides ever since.

The Weinstein/Dimension half had been trying to do a superhero spoof as far back as Scary 3 (back when it was going to parody Hulk and Daredevil)--
