Default Looking for surround placement suggestions...please

Hi, I'm about to purchase new Klipsch surround speakers and set everything up properly.

Looking for input.

My room really isn't set up for optimum performance so I've gotta make do with the limitations.

The Rules: Sofa has to be up against back wall. Any mounting can only be done on back wall. I currently have some sony bookshelf speakers on "stands" (aka tables) in the back two corners.

The Speakers: I can go with Klipsch RS-52, RB-81, RB-61, or RF-62's.

I would love to get the RS-52's, but wasn't sure how that would work with my sofa being up against the wall and the speakers on it.

Thanks for any help!

this may not apply to your specific situation, but the thx site has some useful info about speaker placement, angles, dist, etc...

I'd get on-wall dipole's fur surrounds, and your placement issues will be solved. One next to the couch close to the "cut out" and the other on the corresponding wall, then do rears behind the couch if you're doing 7.1
