Default Big problem with Studio Canal HD DVD

Reported on AVS

Yet another complete audio mess for HD DVD. (Ooo, the fanboys will be importing real soon now).

Can anyone get decent sound out of an HD DVD player? All I read is complaints.

Incidently, BD is mandated to be 1080p/24 encoded in Europe. The player can destroy it with 50Hz output, but if they get the right equipment, Europeans can finally get pure audio.

And naturally, there is no problem because "I don't hear it".

The HD DVD fanboys fact finding algorithm: Ask what they themselves think, and that must be true.

Anyone with excellent to perfect pitch must hate PAL playback.

I'm live in Australia and I have heard of this before. Just wondering is there anyway of telling which movies this affects and which it doesn't?
