It looks like all the extras from the prev DVD release have been ported over and are in 1080 HD Even the 4:3 interviews.

Oddly they give the film barely 12 gigs of space...

It looks better than the old interlaced DVD so I will prob grab up a copy. I like the grain however :-)

The movie gets better everytime you see it... I love Margot Kidders line to her mom on the phone near the begining of the movie she is drunk and I think she says something like ... mother you're a gold plated Wh**e

I own the DVD, but I don't watch it nearly enough to justify this purchase. I'll give it another whirl tonight and then make my decision.

Thanks for posting the link. Now that I see it's getting a 5.1 DD instead of a mono soundtrack I will be putting my order in for this in a few minutes. I remember this was called Stranger in the House the first time I saw this on HBO in 1980. Thought it had been forgotten about until the remake

, one of the worst ever, came out a few years ago.

Is this the one where little Johnnie sees mommie giving a BJ to Santa and then grows up as a serial killer killing every Christmas? Or was that Christmas Evil?

Must-have for me. If you have never seen this film, it is highly recommended! Stay away from the terrible remake!! You've been warned...

Not sure isn't that Silent Night Deadly Night? BUt I am prob wrong it isn't Black Christmas though is it?

I'm pretty sure he's thinking of Christmas Evil. Also, Silent Night, Deadly Night is another Santa holiday slasher. Black Christmas is a scary film, directed by Bob Clark (A Christmas Story and Porky's) that has absolutely nothing to do with Santa Claus.

silent night deadly night is when the boy's parents are murdered by a killer dressed like santa claus black christmas is about girls in a frat house getting strange calls.
