How does the PS3 handle 20bit TrueHD tracks? As it isnt a bit depth listed in the System Audio setup menu, does the PS3 output 20 bit LPCM to the receiver?

It handles it accurately. Bit depths are at 16-bit (CDs), 18-bits (enhanced stereo found on some DualDiscs), 20-bits and 24-bits (typical movie soundtracks). Bit depths are tied with the sampling rate.
