Before I sold my 360 and went PS3 only I didn't fully realize how much you are missing by only owning a 360.

The 360 is a good machine but it is so catered toward shooters that all other genres take a back seat. I have playe alot of good games on PS3 that i had never played anythgin similar to on the 360. A game like Uncharted doesn't even exist to my knowledge on the 360. Just bought GT5 Prolgue the other day and that in itself is better than Forza 2 IMO.

The graphics on GT5P are truly remarkable and the feeback with DS3 controller and in-car view while driving absolutely smokes Forza 2. The power of the PS3 is starting to come full circle now I feel. Pretty much any big first party exclusive title now appears to be more extravagant graphically than hearly everythign I have seen on the 360 with the exception of Gears and BioShock.

wait til R2, KZ2, FFXIII, GT5 (PD said the graphics will improve), LBP. The 360 will not be able to touch those games in terms of graphcis or gameplay. Actually it will start with MGS IV.

I agree. I just got GT5 yesterday and it is amazing. This is the first in car view of a rcing game that is perfect. Sometimes i forget that the view is even from inside the car cause it looks so real.

I personally have never owned an xbox, they just never really appealed to me. I love my shooters but i love the variety that playstation has always delivered.

I used to be fine with the 360 until so many fanboys have appeared trying to convince me that the PS3 "sucks." Just because of them, I'm now more biased toward the PS3. Go figure

When developing kits become cheaper and programming less costly, expect the PS3 to have a deluge of awesome japanese releases. The PS2 just obliterated everything because it had a great selection of japanese releases as well as north american studio exclusives.

The one thing that is going to limit the 360 is the fundamental lack of RPG and action. FPS can only take you so far.

I picked up Prolouge yesterday. I can't stop thinking about how amazing it is. I could hardly sleep last night because I couldn't stop thinking about it. The graphics are absolutly amazing and playing it is breathtaking. I can't wait for the full and final release of GT5.

just look at uncharted ( really look to discover its fine tuning ) only to find out that there was a lot more of what could have been included left out for reasons of time and rating and so forth . that is what the developers say like more water effects (

) and under water levels . among many .
imho its good to have a window of hope for more magic for the same console .

the ONLY game I wish they had on PS3 that's 360 exclusive is Lost Oddessy-sp the guy who did the good final fantasy's did this game appearently. and i would love to be able to play this game on the PS3. hopefully the new final fantasy lives up to it's hype and surpasses this game by far.

other than that. i am pretty happy with sony's game confoles. i have been an avid sony fan since the first playstation came out and have never had a problem. i will support them until I'm a crusty old man and don't use gaming consoles anymore.

that game was like 3 or 4 discs or something like that because it was on 360 and not PS3 same goes for Blue Dragon

for me its bioshock and gears of war

I have Bioshock on the PC. Its a good game, but its not great. It was no Call of Duty 2 put it that way, despite the nice water effects.

Gears of War didn't deserve the hype, it was just GRAW with aliens. Completed it when I had a 360 but I've never wanted to go back to it.

Glad I sold the 360, the fan noise used to stick in my head, as if I had tinitus or a mosquito problem.

This type of thing does no one a service. There are more RPGs for 360 right now. There are more Puzzle games for 360. There are more "weird" games for 360(Katamari, Viva Pinata). There are more survival horror games for 360. There are more platform/adventure games for 360.

The only category where the PS3 actually keeps up with 360 in terms of numbers right now, is, ironically, shooters. :P

Feel free to have this opinion.

I'm very anti-Microsoft, but this site is starting to lean a little bit too much the other way. Just like there are a lot of unfair stereotypes thrown the PS3s way, the "360 only has shooters" is equally inane the other way.

Gears is a straight up shooter, Uncharted mixes platforming and a little bit of exploration/puzzle solving in.

uncharted is hands down the one of the best all around games that i've played in a while. from the detail to the traversing engine its all simply the sh*t.

I own both and enjoy both a lot, but I think LIVE and the Achievement points system keeps me playing the 360 more. For something so simple, Achievements are fun and add tons of replay value to games I might beat and never touch again. I think once Home is (finally) out, if it's everything it's supposed to be, it might be able to compete but if a game is cross platform I'm usually getting it for the 360.

But I wouldn't want to miss out on Blu-Ray or MGS4. Uncharted was really fun, too.
