Cool Remember back when.....

Recently i was playing The Legend of Zelda (NES) and remembering how awesome some of the old school video games are. Even though the games today on the PS3 have amazing graphics, some of the classics are still loads of fun. My favorite old school game from way back when would have to be The legend of Zelda.....

How about about you guys? What is your favorite old school game?

Ocarina of Time was a really fun game as well. That would be ranked pretty high on my favorite old game list, if i had a list, as well.

Oh man, my brothers and I use to fight over who got to play the original Legend of Zelda so much that my mom took the cartridge and snapped it on her knee and threw it in the trash so "no one could play it". We took it out of the trash and pieced it back together and it still works to this day! Still have our old save files from the 80's and everything.

I remember picking this game up at a Toys R Us back before anybody knew anything about the game, it was a blind buy... turned out to be a good one!

Games like this are one of the largest draws of the Wii to me -- I have something like 4 or 5 Zelda's I've downloaded on it (1, 2, A Link to the Past (SNES) and Ocarina of Time (N64)).

There's some really great old school games out there. The funny thing is, whenever people ask me what old time games I like, I inevitably go back and list some Nintendo catalogue titles.

Arcade classics rock. Some of my all time favs were Tron, Zaxxon, Tempest, etc.

For the PC there was Doom, Duke Nukem, and other 3D shooters.

Top Gear, SNES.

Never drive on the highway to that theme music! You'll be at 200 km/h before you realize it.

First game I got when I immigrated to this country, so maybe there's emotional value there too.

It just wouldn't be the same! Classic stuff, I still play it to this day when I get bored.
