Default Tversity streaming to PS3

Has anyone here done this? How well does it work compared to WMP11?
Can you stream from Flash Players like abc.com or fox?

Thanks in advance.

Yep I use it. I can't stand anything about wmp11, or any other version of it for that matter.

On the PS3 it does the job for streaming just fine. My music is sorted in folders, so that's the option I pick to browse. I wish there was a way to hide the other "view by" options...since there's ~15-20 of them.

Having the G4tv podcasts is nice, though I find a lot of the broadcasts are broken links or simply won't decode on the PS3.

I use it and it works great, but I only use it to stream music from my PC since I keep getting dlna media server error 4405 with WMP 11. But for some reason, I can only get it to work right on one of my computers, it will install and configure correctly on my other pc, but the PS3 doesn't find it for some reason.

What other media servers can be used besides WMP and TVersitiy?

Orb.com works great too... and if you have a Windows based phone (ie Mogul) you will be able to stream your music and video there too. As well as any other device with internet.

I don't stream sites from TVersity, but MP3s and most video files work just fine. I like it much better than Windows Media player's server, since it runs more invisibly as a service, and doesn't generate nearly as much of a performance hit as WMP when streaming either.

I use TwonkyVision. I have it running on my NAS drive; which means i can stream to the PS3 without my PC being turned on.

I switched to Twonky after not being happy with either Tversity or WMP11.

I'm very happy with TVersity, had some configuration problems sometimes but the FAQ is quite helpful.

I've been using it for about six months now and I love it. I only use it for streaming files from my PC though.
