Hey All!
I just wanted to see if anyone had a concrete answer for me. If I listen to a quality CD in my PS3 my denon reciever shows 192khz(approx) as the output quality. Which is expected. It seems when I play mp3 through my media server that I only get 48khz the whole time. I know some are recorded at DVD level. Does PS3 play mp3 at this level only? Is it the media server(I looked for settings but found nothing I also think it shouldn't matter)? Do I have a setting wrong on the ps3 itself? Thanks all. |

OP- if you are streaming audio to your PS3 through TVersity you will be streaming the same quality as it is stored on your PC's hard drive. So if you ripped them at 192, they will play at 192. |

anyway, i think OP is confusing kHz (kilohertz) and kbps (kilobits per second). his Denon receiver is displaying kHz, as it relates to his DAC (Burr Brown in that Denon I think). kbps relates to what he ripped his music at. i dont think the 2 are directly related to what he means. |
