I am fairly new to Home Theater and HD. I have 6 Bluray Movies and HD package to the Dish Network on satellite.

In a word......WOW!!! I have my set up down stairs in a 14 X 24 room with no windows. It is a great system. All the movies are absolutely crystal clear and the colors nearly knock your socks off. All my friends were awestruck with the picture and sound.

I do have a question tho. In your expert opinion, what animated movie should I add to my library to really show off the picture and sound?

I have the BBC Planet Earth series and it is terrific, but I have heard that the new CG movies are jaw dropping in color and detail.

As a newbie I lack much experience and knowlege so your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I was advised by two young guys at Best Buy that Appleseed Ex-machina was great. They didn't say, but the cover looked like Japanese Animation. Is it?

Thanks for the suggestion. I hate this decision stuff...........now I will probably have to buy all 4! What is the down side to Blu-ray? I see no down side at all, with the exception of deciding if I should buy groceries or Blu-ray movies.

Crazy! I just finished watching Appleseed ex Machina again for the 4th time. Fantastic film. And I don't even like anime! But I love this movie - from a PQ, AQ, and plot point of view. I couldn't recommend it more!

Appleseed is Japanese and I would recommend watching it in its native tongue, but it looks amazing and is a great story.

Thanks for the welcome Bigwayne.

I am learning a lot here and I tried the search feature for best animated BD to show off my system, but I found nothing. So if I ask some stupid questions that have been already covered, try to understand.

If you have to use physical means, I prefer being spanked with wet celery.
