Perhaps you got a bum disc. Return it and get a replacement, I have the bdp s1 also but have had no problems playing anything

Sony, as well as Samsung, have had trouble playing some movies. That may be one of them. I had the same problem with some of my movies on the Sammy, Sonny and Pioneer. The Panasonic and the PS3 have played everything including CD's. Go to a BB or CC and try it on the PS3. You may be surprised. Good luck with it.

AFAIK, underworld: evo has been great on the sammy as it was an initial "reference" title. i'd be a bit more inclined that you have a bum disc.

Underworld works fine in my BDP-S1, it might be a bad disc. You should still update the firmware to 1.5

Evo plays fine on my Sony.

Anyone know if the first Underworld is going to be released on BD?

I have a PS3 and I've had toruble with a couple movies myself. Crank and Behind Enemy lines were giving me an error message that they couldn't play the movies. I rented them from Netflix so I don't know if I just got 2 bad disks or if my PS3 is just having trouble with certain titles.
