Underworld Evolution Question

I just read this review of the australien release of "Underword Evolution" and at the end the reviewer compares the disc to the US-Disc. He writes:

"Like pretty much all Sony discs, the two versions appear to be fairly equally specified. Except in one area: the Blu-ray.com site review states that the Region A disc of Underworld: Evolution was compressed in MPEG-2 (it was this information that led me to purchase the local disc). "

Does that mean that the australien release is encoded with AVC? Do any of you guys have that version and could check? Thanks!
