I really liked G.I. Joe when I was growing up, but this movie has failure written all over it. I'd like to be optimistic in this regard, but I simply can't hold my breath on this one.

+1, I agree. If this movie doesn't have some kick ass fight scenes between Snake Eyes and Stormshadow, then I may have to wait to till the blu release for this one.

While I loved the series as a kid...and bought the DVD's when they came out...this one scares me. Storm Shadow looks stupid in his 'fighting' coat. Why can't they just have him look like a ninja like he is supposed to?

I don't understand why I'm not excited about this. I did watch the series as a kid but it was preachy, even for a cartoon. I just have a baaaaad feeling about this one.

So far everything I have seen about this movie looks like it is going to be a flop. They are messing up a great show!!

Judging by the pics, and by GI Joe being an "International Security Force", this film has 'suckfest' written all over it in huge capital letters.

Stephen Sommers has completely ruined the cartoons I loved so much when I was a kid. This movie had great potential, but they ruined it with crap casting and STUPID costumes. The whole Joe team is made out to look like some ninja force or group with black colors all over. Also, how can you cast an african american as a character that was white in the cartoons (Ripcord)??? They've trashed this movie even before it comes out!!!

Especially when there are MUCH better black characters available, Stalker & Roadblock immediately spring to mind.

Exactly. They should've gotten Stalker, Roadblock, Iceberg or somebody else. And if they wanted comedy relief in the movie, they should've Alpine & Bazooka in the move................
