Default "Your" subway sandwich

conversation i had yesterday with some friends led to subway sandwiches and what the sandwich you get there is. found out most people like myself have their specific sandwich they always get. mine is,

bread: italian herbs & cheese
Meat: turkey
cheese: provalone
i have them throw onions and peppers on it, then toast it. then after toasting.
other stuff: double lettuce, olives, pickles, salt&pepper, and oil but no vinegar.

mmmmmmm i'm hungry now. so. whats yours?

I've got three . . .

Philly Cheese w/ Mayo, Mustard, and Jalapenos

Tuna w/ Mustard

Turkey w/Bacon, lettuce, Ranch

I get Honey Oat for all three, American cheese.

I used to get the turkey/bacon with Southwest until they started using the disgusting Southwest they have now . . . the old stuff was a lot better.

damn. we almost have the same sandwich. unfortunately i don't like macademia nuts in anything. but by themselves they're good. my grandpa had a huge mac nut tree in his backyard, i used to love sitting out back with a ballpeen hammer cracking them open. but i hate nuts in anything.

Grill Teriyaki Chicken on Honey Wheat with everything except pickles and those pickled peppers.

Meatball on wheat with extra cheese.

Am I the only one that liked their crabseafood salad sandwich? Too bad they got rid of it.

Foot long on White bread.

I get a BMT with American cheese which comes with ham, pepperoni, and salami. Then I add the meatball marinaria sauce to that and have it toasted. YES!

Yeah that philly steak was a lot better too when it looked like thinly cut roast beef. There new steak blows, I use to get the southwest steak and cheese with extra southwest sauce. Yuck now those hunks of so called steak have to go

see wicky we're the same way with our mexican food. unless your state borders mexico you don't have mexican food. taco bell is dirt. ground beef has no place in mexican food. but i must say i was unimpressed with what philly natives here called the best cheese steak. there's a restaurant here called pilly's best they all rave about. the best one i've had was at some roadside bar and grill in the middle of nowhere. i don't even remember what state as it was 8 years ago and i was on vacation with my parents. but chicago on a bun does have a good dog.

i'm ashamed though. i went by quiznos and am eating it as i watch ultimate force on blu after all this subway talk too.

quiznos is good ,but you can only order whats on the menu, no mixing and matching. Also they are damn expensive. I orignally come from the NJ/NY area, so yeah, its no wheres near as good as a good italian deli, but subway isnt bad. They have good tuna too!

See "Philly's Best", unless they're airlifting their rolls in every day from Philly is simply a pale imitation of the real thing. There are 8 or 9 places that do that. A few in Texas, I dunno where else. The bread is the key, and without Philly water, it doesn't work. They also probably are sourcing the beef locally too. My experience is that when someone even gets close outside of 30mi west and south of philly (NYC is good too), and can't get the good stuff anymore, even a somewhat close approximation is blessed

And Pat's and Ginos (the supposed "original" cheesteaks) hardly have the best ones in the city either. Hoagies are a whole other story. Dietz and Watson lunchmeat is required, along with careful layering with fine sharp provolone. Assembly order is just as important, making sure that it stays together properly as it's eaten, and the tastes come in the correct order. A good sandwich is a science, and no chain ever gets that
