Question Strange intermittent high pitched noise when using 480p
My rear projection RCA tv will sometimes produce a high pitched noise when it receives a 480p input. If I switch the input to another source, like 1080i for example the noise stops. I am completely baffled as to what could be causing this to happen. I first noticed it when playing Burnout on the PS3. When my PS3 switched from 1080i to 480p the buzzing started. It does the same thing using a DVD player so I know it's not the PS3.

While the noise was happening I tried unplugging all the cables from the back of the TV but the noise persisted. If I turn the tv off and leave it for a while and then turn it back on the noise will be gone.

Has anybody else ever had a similar issue?
