i am missing 1 movie. i ordered on saturday, transformers, sarah chronicles, and i am legend. paid priority for all of them and they shipped monday. i got transformers and sarah chronicles on thursday, but no i am legend. i called and they said if you dont get it tomorrow call back and we will refund you. i come home from work and still, it hasnt arrived. so i call again and i get the same guy and he said all he can do is refund me the shipping. this is my first time ordering from there, primarily because of what ive read on this site about it. i want a refund but they said i have to wait 3 weeks, if i dont get it by then, they can refund it.
i am dissappointed and will not order from them again if i dont get it during the long weekend. now i understand it might have got lost in the mail and **** happens but this is my first time ordering anything off the internet because i was always hesistant about this type of situation, it dont make me feel any better. thanks for reading, im sorry if this doesnt belong in this forum, alot of people are viewing this page as we speak so i figured id get a quick response |

They are slow!!! I ordered expedited for something they had in stock and shipping and it still took a week. If memory serves, it was sent priority USPS Mail. I'll order from them again only when price is insanely good or when they are breaking release dates. I think it was Top Gun last time that I got over a week early.

A similar thing happend to me with Overstock.com. I ordered two copies of a movie on the same order, one for myself and one for a gift. My order said it had shipped. I got my order, but there was only one copy. I filed a complaint and was told I had to wait at least another week to see if the package showed up. I told them that only one package was sent as there was only one tracking number. Then a strange thing happend, a couple days latter, I was checking my order online and it had gone from both items shipped to only one shipped, but the second one still hadn't shipped. Finally, after about a month of complaining and explaining, the finally refunded the price of the second movie. Then, I had to place an order again to get the second copy. I don't know why they just couldn't have shipped the second one rather than have to go to the trouble of refunding.
A second time, I had a package not show up and I tracked it with UPS and it showed on their website it had been damaged. They took care of that problem quickly, but the same situation happened, they refunded my money and I had to re order the items. |

I know some people have a good relationship with Columbia House...but I hate them. I ordered Pale Rider and Lonesome Dove weeks ago....still haven't got either. I know Pale Rider just came out on Tuesday, but Dove has been outfor weeks.....And this isn't the first time Columbia House has been sucky. Yet, I seem to be the only person I know personally that Columbia House is slow to mail to.

First you have to realize no online retailer is perfect but some are much better than others. I've ordered thousands off Amazon and almost never had a problem except for once or twice where the package got crushed during shipping (and of course their customer service handling that was great). I've used Tower before also but their shipping is very slow. I'm not sure paying for the faster shipping from them is worth it. I use them mainly when they undercut other retailers by a significant margin.

i've ordered from tower.com twice. the first time i was a bit turned off. i ordered 5 bd's and received like 3 emails for various shipping dates. yet they all arrived together, slowly i might add. however, the second order, for transformers, shipped right away, standard shipping, and arrived in less than a week. i was very pleased this time around.

i to use tower and find them great shipping to the uk- which is odd because their based in the states.
probably due to their uk warehouse though. i will use this company for the foreseeable future |

The only time I order off the internet is when it involves a movie that;
1. Has been out for a while. 2. I am in no rush to get it. 3. Is cheaper than the local retailer is selling it. Usually it must meet all three of the criteria above before I decide to order it. That all changed on August 23, 2008 when I discovered this little company called Tower.com was selling copies of TF early. I have to say I was more than pleased with the service. It was shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. The total price (including shipping) was just fine, too. I am hoping that The Mist will arrive later today (or even next week) with the mail. If that occurs, I will hve nothing but thumbs up for Tower. |

That sucks! Did they at least provide a tracking number?
Did it show that your order ships in 2 packages? I would give it a few days and call back, if they still don't want to refund you, contact your credit card company for a charge back (tell Tower when you talk to them that you will do this - it will go on a record and looks bad if there is a lot of them, so I am sure they will try to get this resolved another way). Usually I hate doing this, but similar happened to an order from Deep Discount and they supposedly resent the item which never got here either, so I filed for a charge back after I had to listen to someone on the phone threatening me, that they will fight this and I will never be able to order from them again! LOL They sure lost me as a customer, but my credit card company refunded all charges! |

well i ordered transformers and i am legend in one order. when the package came it was only big enough for one movie. i gotta feeling i wont ever get it. this is exactly the reason i hate ordering online, for bull**** like this
