DMP BD30 firmware update 1.8 - Blu-ray Forum

I found the new firmware update 1.8 on Panasonics global site, it is not listed on the US site. I downloaded it and tried to update it in my dmp bd30 player and it would not work, it indicated that I did not need it. I also noticed that blu-ray.com does not even list 1.8. So is 1.8 for other areas of the globe or what? anyone know the answer to this?

Did you download this update for North America and Latin America?

I updated to 1.8 on the day of the release of the FW.. witch was May 5
