Help with Panasonic DMP-BD30 Firmware

Hey,

I went to the site and downloaded the latest firmware to my computer. Once it gets to my computer though, it's in a higher file size than it's supposed to be.

the name of the file is: PANA_DVD.FRM

and it says: "Windows cannot open this file...To open this file, Windows needs to know what program created it"

Then it asks me to choose from a web program or a program on the computer.

I JUST WANT TO INSTALL THE LATEST FIRMWARE...and I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT...NEED HELP.

Go here http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...0/bd30_na.html and download the FW 2.6 file to your computer. Also, make sure to make a copy of the instructions and follow them explicitly. The file you download will have a .exe extension. Double click on the .exe file and it will self-extract itself and create the actual FW file with the .frm extension. Don't try to open the .frm file - you will get the error message you indicated in your post. Simply put a blank CD-R disk in your burner, drag the .frm file to that drive and burn it to the CD-R. Then put that CD into the BD30 for the update.

I have this happen. The problem is that it's not the same file size as it says it is on the download page. Is this a problem? Thanks.
