Default The Cannibal Corpse Thread

Death Metal isn't my favourite type of music ever (I still love it though), but Cannibal Corpse are easily the greatest band to ever come out of it (. Their album covers and lyrics are hilariously gory (see here, here, here, here, and here and their music is skilled, complex and catchy. I love them. CC fans speak out.

Favourite songs: 'Sentenced to Burn' (Gallery of Suicide, 1998), 'Make Them Suffer' (Kill, 2006)

I listened to them every now and then back in the day. I always liked the names of their songs.

Good god man! A lot of things come to mind when I see those covers, and hilarious is definitely not one of them.

Yeah, but the fact that it's so incredibly over-the-top and impossible to take seriously is what makes it funny. Cannibal Corpse don't take themselves seriously.

Back when Chris was still with them, I had a hard time finding the uncensored album covers. I love the Barnes era, but maybe it was for the best after hearing SFU. The Bleeding and Butchered are my favs.

haha.. yeah most death metal bands you gotta take with a grain of salt. I like a few. Cannibal Corpse I never really got into. Musically you can't deny their brutalness though. much respect for that.

but I do like Cattle Decapitation, Suffocation, Goat***** and Napalm Death just to mention a few. Celtic Frost would probably be more doom metal than anything else but I think they put out their best cd with Monotheist. I think that's one of the best metal cd's I've heard of the last 5 years actually. I was really bummed out to find Tom Fischer had left the band just a few weeks ago. I was looking forward to hearing the next CF cd sometime soon.

The only other Death Metal bands I'm really into are The Black Dahlia Murder, Deicide and Zyklon. They're awesome.

Back in my teenage days, I used to listen to them. Can't remember a thing by them or any lyrics or anything though. I think it was just the "trendy" thing at the time though.

cannibal corpse is my shit. i love them. seen them live a few times. i love george. he's way better than chris. "****ed with a knife" was almost our wedding song.

i love alot of metal. i'm a chick who actually LIKES it. most of the girls i see at shows are these fake metal/hardcore *****es who are only there to meet guys. LAME.

i'm friends with a few bands, so going to shows it alot of fun when you get to hang out with the people who make the music you love.

+1 point for liking real metal

+10 points for being a female metalhead

Bonus 10 points for understanding CC's need to insert cutlery into orifices.
