Profesional Blu-ray reviewers - Blu-ray Forum

I think we need them or at least have a few with something by there name that we all know are trustworthy. Whos to say someone buys there first bluray and and reviews it perfect 5 on PQ and AQ. I see such mixed reviews in the user reviews on the same movies. I think we need to be able to know whos reviews to trust.

Whats wrong with what we have? I am not sure what you are classifying as professional but Siskel and Ebert can review everything

Well one guy will say 3.5 an PQ and the next guy will say 5. Who do I listen to?

They are opinions, or a synopsis of the film. Just use them as a guideline and make a decision on your own

For professional reviews, the person must be Sony and or another Bluray manufacturer certified in retail distribution, have seen the previous release either on dvd or other medium, receive Bluray releases directly from the manufacturer, have reference quality equipment and a decent common sense and understanding of the technology and what is being presented.

Buy it and figure it out on your own.

The reviewers here do a great job. All the negative and critical threads about them need to stop.

If you don't want to trust them then don't. Problem solved.
