Default Rambo: first blood - picture quality question

So far i have been very selective with my blu rays, and have only purchased films that i both like, and get high picture quality ratings here on blu-ray.com

films like apocalypto, ratatouille, pirates of the carribean, etc

i was out at FYE today and bought Dr. No, because i want to start collecting all the bond movies on blu-ray and it has good PQ ratings here

while out there i saw rambo first blood for only 12 bucks so i grabbed it in a whim... however i didnt read the reviews beforehand, now that i have i dont know if i want to open it

there not terrible by any means, but most say the picture quality is not that great, and even when considering how old the movie is, they say its not much better than the dvd releases

if thats the case id prefer to not open it because i can return it for something else... typically i only pick up a movie i have read a review for

just wanted to get some input from people here who have seen it

is it really that bad in terms of picture quality? audio quality doesnt matter as i dont have a sound system
