Default Rambo First Blood Part 2 DTS HD MA Question

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but yesterday I watched Rambo Part 2 and the only options for Audio were DTS HD MA and a trivia track. My receiver doesn't support DTS HD MA it would seem as I was unable to get any audio at all. I ended up having to use the Trivia track for audio which worked ok but there were little sound effects every time one of the trivia tidbits was supposed to pop up.

Is this going to be a common issue? Although an upgrade is in the future I am looking to put it off a little bit longer. It just seems strange to me that there were no other more standard audio choices available.

I should mention that my Blu Ray player is actually installed in my Media Center PC and I run digital coax to my receiver. If there is something I should be looking at adjusting setting wise to make this work I'm all ears!

Thanks!

Only thing I can think of, since it plays from your pc, is updating codec and a/v drivers. as said, you should at least get the DTS core from your avr.

Does your reciever support the original DTS format? If not, then it won't be able to read the core DTS track either. You may have to set your player to PCM stereo or something.

Dude, I have a suggestion...please bite the bullet and buy a player and receiver this holiday...I have seen some crazy good deals. Blu-Ray players for 128 dollars, Onkyo 606 receivers for 300 dollars....i know times are tight but sometimes you have to bite the bullet...
