Default calling svs subwoofer owners

alright well i have a paradigm ultracube 12 right now and it doesn't deliver the wow factor that i want out of my sub, i am looking for something to match the efficiency and wow factor of my klipsch setup. i know when i was first building my system i was told by many on here go svs but online ordering was new to me and that held me back, since i wasn't steered wrong with my klipsch speakers (love em) im looking for a little more knowledge on the svs subs.

i definitly wanna go cylinder, but i don't really understand the difference between the ultra, pc, etc... since the all have the 16-46 or whatever. i was hoping some of you could give me some real world experience with these subs and your likes and dislikes of them. im not really looking to spend 1000 on a sub so i was looking at the cheaper ones, but i also don't wanna drop 600 for little to no improvement over my ultracube. thoughts or suggestions would be helpful, my current setup is posted in my sig if you want an idea of room size. i want a sub that can deliver that mid spectrum well which my ultra cube seems to do but still go low as hell, i also want a sub that i am not constantly worrying about blowing which is one reason im kinda not wanting the 1000 svs cylinder.

edit: i also wanna know how this companies customer service is etc.....credit card safe? how much is shipping etc.... i live in ohio and it says there factory is in ohio. thanks in advance for any help or knowledge.

I don't think that $600 PCi series sub is going to be much better than your ultracube. You at least need the PC+, it is an upgraded driver and more amplification. The Ultra is another step up in both departments.

BTW, the numbers describe the speaker. The first # is the frequency it is tuned to with all ports open. And the second # is the height of the speaker itself. So a 16-46 is going to be tuned to 16Hz and be enclosed in a cylinder that is 46" tall.

I got the 20-39pci a couple months ago, and it's great. I was worried that it wasn't going to be much better than my other sub, but man, it's the most powerful sub I've ever heard and certainly the best within the same price range. While watching Cloverfield on SD DVD I really felt like the stuff was happening in the other room of my house.

I emailed the cs department before I ordered and gave them my budget, room dimensions, and what I currently wanted to replace and got a response within 24 hours. I think they'll be honest with you about what you need, and won't try to oversell what you need.

There is a huge demand for these subs though, so sometimes you have to wait before it ships. I think I waited a week or so for some parts to come in, but then it only took 3-4 days to get to IL. There is a shipping quote option on the website too. They also come with a 30 day money-back guarantee, but I assume you'd have to pay return shipping, which in my case was about $50.

Hope this helps, Tim.

they're customer service is excellent,
amazing products, albeit the shipping wait... that part always is stressful.
packaging is solid, and quite impressive when it comes down to specs.

we've had a couple of reviews done on them, and even their lowest price $429 (excluding shipping cost) can outperform any subwoofer out there in main stores for the sub-$500 price.

customize the tube subs to hit 20hz upon request as well..

for some people who are hesitant, they also have outstanding return policies out there, for which i believe have been rarely used.

worth it. in all aspects.

another to consider is hsuresearch subs as well. great online company, with equal services and prestine products.

its all a matter of personal choice.
