Lately I have been looking at quite a few flat-panel TVs. On some of the TVs, which display movies like "PotC: Dead Man's Chest", I notice something kind of weird. One TV would have this movie on, and it looks a lot more like a video game than it does an actual film.
![]() Bill Hunt (of The Digital Bits), in his infinite wisdom, talks about the importance of a film LOOKING like honest-to God film when we watch movies (particularly in Hi Def). But, again, some of these TVs (I don't know who makes them, but one of them was a rather big Sony XBR LCD) display the images in a way that makes them look more like really tricked-out PS3 games ("graphic" motion look) than a film with touches of grain in them. What's up? Jodi |
