Not that I'd recommend a sheep mentality, but many people here recommend the 805. I'd say it's a safe bet, and would be hard to beat at the price.

It's pretty much the best you can get for $650.

The 805 is a beast for real! I had to lift that up over six feet to get it on my cabinet today. That's a difficult deadweight. Anyways, I hooked it up and was glad I got such a deal for such perfomance. By the way, if you find a deal off Ebay (like I did), jump on it! I paid $375 for mine and it is immaculate.

I use this at work for demos (mostly cuz the 875 gets too hot from all day use, 805 seems to run a bit cooler) and I like it our manager has the 805 and he bragged about it for like a week straight when he bought it lol

I wouldn't hesitate on the 805, especially at that price if that's the limit of your budget. I spent about 5 months trying out different gear, and out of all the AVRs I listened to the 805 left the biggest impression.

I LOVE MY 805!!! Just be warned that it is big and it is heavy!!! Otherwise, it packs one hell of a punch!
