Default Blu-ray Imports........

How is everyone buying imports. I try to buy them on the U.K. sites, but they don't ship to the U.S. I've had to buy them on E-bay, but half of the time they are pre-watched! Don't mind shelling out a little more if they are new, but some people are completely insane and want to charge 52 dollars for sealed imports. Is there a link to a store or service that I am not aware of? Any help would be much appreciated!

Sendit.com!

Or get lucky off eBay! My two import titles: Days of Glory and Transformers, I was going to pick up off Sendit.com (very reliable, quick international shipping) - but got lucky when I searched them off eBay in which domestic sellers had these titles and were able to ship them to me for less - since it was already in the US (and I saved money as well).

Try either one.

What titles did you have in mind?

Try www.xploitedcinema.com.

All the imported blus they sell can be played in US players (in some cases, only the movies, not the extras).

Also, they're located in the US.

But you can also try www.amazon.co.uk

The easiest method is sendit.com, 5 days before you get your stuff and its probably one of the cheapest sites in the UK.

The UK already has a great bargain site which is great. I check it alot. I picked up Bladerunner 5 disc edition for $11 from tower.com

I second xploitedcinema.com for imported blu rays. yeah you are going to pay more for them but you should expect that since they are imported. You can find some on their for under $40 but if you really want the movie and it isnt available in the US now or doesnt have a release date for the US what do you expect.

For instance I got the Steelbook Sweeney Todd from them because I know it wont be available here as a steelbook.

I've purchased imports from:

Play Asia
Yes Asia
HKFlix
Amazon.co.uk
Xploited Cinema

All have been fairly good to deal with, some faster than others, but the products always get to me eventually.

Eventually is the key word, sometimes they run out of titles becuase they don't anticipate non-domestic demand.

About how long does it take something ordered from Amazon.co.uk with standard shipping to arrive?

I almost ordered Almost Famous with priority, but it would have cost over $50!
