Is it just me or did anyone else notice the scene outside of the pawn shop was edited. The scene I'm specifically talking about is with the two man bicycle where they have the lights on them, there were more things that Jay sees in the special edition DVD.... Anyone else notice this....

MIB II has the bicycle - plus a bag lady walking by with some orange eyed thing in a shopping cart, a mailman with a tail, and a talking cockroach when K steps outside.
Don't remember J seeing anything besides the bicycle in MIB Last edited by dadkins; 06-21-2008 at 09:19 PM. |

There's no difference between the cuts on the previous MIB DVD and the new MIB BD.
I just checked it out for myself. Still own the DTS DVD version of MIB, released back in 2000. The short shot of the bicycle with the lights on it is the same as it is on the previous DVD. In comparing the two discs, the BD version definitely looks a LOT better than the old DVD. That's despite the BD looking a bit soft in a lot of areas. Even though the BD transfer may look a little underwhelming to demanding Blu-ray fans, it is definitely a major step up from DVD. My only real gripe with the new MIB DVD is the "tellastrator" commentary track with Barry Sonnenfeld and Tommy Lee Jones is a little flaky. First problem is they recycled the commentary track from the previous DVD. I noticed that immediately with the Annette Benning joke they made about the Columbia Pictures logo at the beginning. It's a good commentary track nonetheless. And I like how Tommy Lee Jones pretends to be pretty dense despite the fact he is a very well educated, bilingual Texan. Getting to the "flaky part," I have a PS3 80GB model and at certain points the Mystery Science Theater 3000 silhouettes in front of the screen would just be flapping and doing other repetitive crap like a vinyl record skipping over and over again until I shuttled forward or back to get the tellastrator track to reset itself properly. This Bonus View feature is a very interesting concept, but it is going to need some refinement to work well. Right now it's pretty clunky. |

just watched this last night. such a fun movie with a perfect length -- not too short, not too long.
i checked out the BD-Live stuff. what a horrible mess. from bad interface to painfully slow downloads, I guess Sony is throwing it out there just to say they are doing it. it's like the original PS store. -- |

Like the Picture in Picture crap the BDlive is just junk left over from the format war. HD DUD had it and Blu Ray got the notion it had to have it to woo studios who wanted to be able to use the internet to sell more stuff after the Blu Ray itself was purchased (or rented.) I could have done without most of that stuff... It's actually tempting to pick up a profile 1.1 player just to cut the access to stuff like that. Then again... it's new so maybe it's going to get much more fun and interesting as it grows. ![]() -Brian |

I totally forgot. So that was a nice reference to the bicycle with lights in the first movie...

I agree. I too thought the movie looked very good. The audio was realy nice as well. All of The Will Smith movies that have been released on Blu-Ray so far all look and sound great. Well except for Hitch.
