Default Programable Music

Is there a unit that I can buy that can have music programmed into it like an MP3 player so i don't have to have a disk changer on my rack? Similar to Bose Lifestyle 48s 300 programmable hours of music HDD.

Ok, I could use some input on this. Looking at the Onkyo Integra series for this. Any feedback about the Integra, or any other unit would be appreciated.

Alright. Here's what you do. You go and get this, and you're set! It can store 40GB of your favorite songs, movies, and games. It's good for your guests too! It provides endless hours of entertainment and fun!

I'm not sure if that'll work for you, but that's the closest answer I can get for you.

Because I don't need a PS3. I've got a BDP and want to keep a stand alone. I want to replace my Sony 5 disk changer with a stand alone also. I will most likely look into the Integra. I like the design.

You know, what you need is a cheap MP3 player. Maybe even an MP4 player from China! Buy one of these, hook it up to your reciever, and set the player to shuffle or whatever pleases you.

You know, I thought about that, but i really want a nice looking highend unit to have in the system. The Integra is pricey, but I'm thinking of getting it anyway.

Sell your stand alone and the PS3 is an even better deal! The PS3 allows you to insert your CD's or SACD's and convert them to MP3 automatically. You have Internet Access via your HDTV is you desire. You can store your personal pics for viewing on your TV. If you are not into gaming there are many other uses for the PS3. You can even link to your PC for mutimedia uses.

Why would you pay more for an Integra? You don't have to use the PS3 as a gaming system or Blu-ray player. You can use it for music, pictures, movies, and more. You can upgrade the hard drive and connect it to a computer if you wanted too. The PS3 also is great for playing SACD's and more. It's really worth it. I don't think your guests will have grudges against the PS3's design. Most people like it, and I respect you don't like it's styling, because it is a bit different. But for what you're getting, there is no comparison.

Maybe im reading into what your looking for wrong, but why dont you store all your music on your computer and just download a free program to share it with the PS3? i have all my music and videos that stream from the computer to the ps3, its great...
