Spiderwick Chronicles Samsung BDP-1000 Problems - Blu-ray Forum

Is anyone else having problems playing The Spderwick Chronicles. I have a Samsung BDP-1000, I just downloaded the latest firmware update, and it still will not play. Before the latest update the loading screen would never even appear, then after the new firmware update, the loading screen will appear, and say loading...... and just sit there for 10 minutes or longer, and not go any further.

I had the same problem with spiderwick, but the kids were bothering the hell out of me to get it on, at first I thought it was just my dvd but after ejecting and starting and ejecting and starting it finally loaded and played. There is an issue but eventually it does load and play.

I kind of had that feeling, but, I tried it several times, I'll keep trying.

No problems with my HTPC

as a matter of fact Spiderwick is the fastest loading BD that I have to date (loaded to the menu within three seconds and upon pressing play, immediately started the movie - watched last night for the first time - I will watch it again today - that movie is eye candy and moves fast)

!!!!

I watched it the other night, had no problems with it. Good movie by the way.

No problems here (Panny BD30), except for a 0.3-sec audio loss during the scene when Jared and Mallory enter the Lucinda's Sanatorium thing...

Wasn't that player dated from initial release? Get a PS3.

Whenever you have a problem with a disc, you should contact this forum and if that doesn't work, call the company that released the Blu-Ray Disc.

No problem here on my PS3. With that said, the picture quality on this is fantastic, definitely top tier stuff.

Older players with newer movies are going to continue to be a problem. Wait until Universal movies hit the market

I own a PS3 also, my Sammy is in my bedroom. Will not load. I bought it when it first came out, because I am a HD junkie. Dropped $1000 on it. PS3 wasn't available at the time I bought mine, or I would own 2 PS3's, still might have to end up doing that, and throw the Sammy in my kids room.
