Default new subwoofer?

I have the polk audiorm6750 speaker package which also comes with it's own subwoofer.Would it be worth it to buy a different subwoofer to replace the one that came with the speakers?

If you desire more oomph, then why not? That's if you have the money.

I would love to buy a new one in like a month or 2 if it definite;ly will provide more oomph then the current sub.

Have you heard of Velodyne subwoofers. I am looking at Paradigm or PSB speakers but I will definatly look at Velodyne subwoofers.

I'm sorry, but the eD will own that Velodyne. You're buying a name with Velodyne. Don't get me wrong, they make decent subs, but not until you get into their higher priced subs.

this isn't a bragging competition.

For $150 the Velodyne is worth a consider.

This is options for the OP, not you. Help the guy out.

I am helping the guy out. I don't own the eD, but I've heard it and I've owned some Velodyne's in the past. I'm not gonna tell the guy to buy a Velodyne for $200 when he can spend $315 and get twice the sub....in my opinion of course.

do you really expect the OP knows what "ed" stands for? to help him out you have to clarify. Elemental Design.

then include a link for him to look at said subwoofer.

Ok, assuming this guy isn't 5 years old, doesn't need his hand held and knows how to use google, this should be a no brainer, but alright....here you go OP. This is the best sub you can buy IN THIS price range, i.e. $300. If you don't want to spend that much, there are other subs you can look at that were previously mentioned, i.e. Veloydyne, Bic H-100, etc. etc. But remember...you get what you pay for.

that wasnt so hard was it?

no need to bash other ideas, just provide your own. The OP will know what he/she can spend and with multiple options he will do much better than just going into Best Buy and picking one out.

Alright, alright....i get it, I get it. Good luck with your purchase OP. I'm sure whatever you get will be A LOT better than the HTiB sub you've got...at least I think that's the sub you've got. Good luck.

I didn't say the Velodyne is a better sub than the eD. I don't know why you needed to say that. I simply meant for $150, you can't really beat it. I saw your post about not needing to explain what eD means, and the OP could look it up on google. I'm sure this isn't what you mean. I'm sure that the Elemental Designs subwoofer you are talking about is a great sub, and I'm definitely not doubting that.

Make no mistake though, that Velodyne would beat many subs of that price range and higher. Look at what Home Theater Hifi had to say.
