Vincent Speakers

Have any of you audio experts heard these speakers before http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=VILS308 ? They interest me greatly. I know that I will upgrade my speakers in the next 2 to 3 years and I will either buy new ones or convert my Snell E-II's into Audio Note AN/E's. Has anyone heard the Vincents and what do the compare to - to you? I will listen before I buy - and I have a bit of time (if I'm still alive - if I'm dead, I won't care ) but if anyone has had the pleasure of being exposed to these things let me know (also let me know if the experience wasn't that pleasureable )

I can't find any reference or recommendation for them on AVS within the past year, nor can I find any for sale on A-gon (and only two Google hits). I interpret this as a bad sign. Why do they interest you? Has someone you trust recommended them?

There are plenty of other noteworthy speakers in this price range.....

...it's not often I see my name listed in the forums...

my speakers could be classified as "Vincent's speakers"...but not vincent audio speakers...damn...now I want those just based on the fact that they're mine...

They caught my eye by their looks to be honest But I've seen and heard alot about Vincent Audio amplifiers and CD players. They seem to be an esoteric brand (like some of the ones on Audiogon). I have found good references to Vincent Audio on Ecoustics and Absolute Sound did a review on one of their amps and the reviewer stated that it was the best he had heard under $1000.00. Seems to be a new, high-end company and legitimate. German design (but manufactured in China) - but the build quality is very high. Just interested - thats all. (Reminds me of when Bill Duttleson started Legacy - everybody was sleeping on them until the review of the Focus).

Understood. I can find comments from Vincent amp owners, just not speakers. It may be simply that, because it's a German company, their speakers aren't well-sold here in the US of A.
