UK region free suggestions

I have a friend from the UK come and visit us later this year and am thinking to place an order on amazon.co.uk and have him bring the movies.
Are there any good releases that are currently unavailable in the US which are region free of course?

I browsed through the site, but did not find very many.

Also any other german releases other than:

- Neues vom Wixxer
- Lissi und der wilde Kaiser

I have most of the UK exclusives.

Sweeney Todd
Beowulf (should be out soon there though)
The Island
Almost Famous
Transformers (cartoon)


There were a couple of others like Next, but I think its out there now. As time goes on the UK exclusive flavour will eventually die out as Paramount surely catch up with their catalog titles.

Lissi/Wixxer sind beide region-free. Im Moment, Deutschland and Europa haben keine guten Exclusives.

To the poster above, what are the audio tracks availble on Sweeny Todd? I want to pick it up but would like a German track. If it does have one, can you check to hear if the music is also sang in German? Thanks.

There are lots of films that are available in the UK (or Europe) which aren't available in the US. Tend to be more independent than major motion picture and some are region coded, but titles available include,

Hi all, Tony at xploitedcinema.com (Ohio, USA), has many of these Blus (and some are on my wishlist!), and they are region-free. I saw the Crow was not,which was disappointing If you also own HD DVD, many are on sale or available on that format.

Sorry not been around for a while.
I just finished watching Lissi & Wixxer this past week. I am pretty impressed with the quality! Lissi was an ok movie, but had outstanding PQ (probably cause its all CGI anyways) and Wixxer was just awesome... haven't laughed that hard in a while!
I just saw that Keinohrhasen will be released on Aug 22 and Die Welle on Dec 31. Hope that both will be region free as well, especially Die Welle!!!

I was quite happy to see that Amazon.de didn't charge any tax on my order and sent it out via UPS, which took merely 3 days to get to Hawaii!!!
Faster than ordering from Amazon.com with Priority Mail.

BTW, I am watching a new german crime show at the moment, called KDD - Kriminaldauerdienst on DVD (season 2 is currently airing in Germany) and it is pretty much the best tv show (next to the Office rip-off Stromberg) to come from the Vaterland in a long long time!
