Default Sony STR-DG720 paired with Klipsch Quintet II. Any issues?

The title pretty much sums up my question here.

I've got a Sony STR-DG720 receiver and i'm looking for some small bookshelf speakers. I can get the Klipsch Quintet II for about $250. Was originally looking at the Quintet III but it's at least an extra $200.

So original question, any potential issues with this setup? the receiver lists 100W per channel, while the speakers list 50W continuous and 100W peak. Any issues with that?

Second question, is there that much of a performance increase between Quintet II and III to warrant the extra cost?

Thanks.

Big watt amp, low watt speakers??

No issue at all but be careful.

To actually ruing your speakers, you would have to purposely trainwreck all the levels and go from off to THAT a couple of times.

Oddly enough, your speakers (if built well which klipsche are) will sound even better because you are pushing them harder.

Just break them in slowly and you should be fine.

Honestly...I mean...we all have that one movie section that we crank the hell out of to watch the pictures fall off the wall, but I don't think you will need to have your dial past 10 o'clock to enjoy most of your films and if you are really going to listen to your system FULL ON then the police are going to get involved in most cases.

Short answer...you will be fine.

Enjoy your new setup and have a great weekend.

Thanks for the info guys.

Can anyone comment on the second part of the question? i.e. is the extra $200 worth it to go from Quintet II to Quintet III?

Thanks again.
