New Superman Returns BD?

Hello,

Just wondering if there are any plans for a new release of Superman Returns on BD? I have to admit I'm not massively impressed with the print on my copy, although it is better than standard def DVD, but it doesn't seem to be fully HD.

I know there's the famous return to Krypton scene which was cut from the original theatrical release and the subsequent dvd and BD releases. So maybe that's justification for putting out a new BD release with better PQ sometime?

Having said that, I already have the standard def DVD and the BD, so I don't think I really want to fork out for another BD copy of Returns.

I'm too hoping that they'll bring out a SE Blu-ray eventually aswell.

However that might not happen for a couple of years. It's looking more and more likely that Singer will be taking the helm of The Man Of Steel (for which I am glad as I'm positive this one will kick ass) So Warner will re-issue it before the next one I believe.

And i'm sure it wouldn't kill Warner to up the video quality and put a lossless or preferably an uncompressed sound track on there this time!!!

I hope Singer and Routh return for the Man of Steel. I've read differing reports, some saying that Warners might be looking for a new director, and then other reports saying Singer is signed to do it and has started on the script. With Routh then himself saying they're hoping to start filming early next year.

As for a better version of Superman Returns, I wouldn't count on it until WB gets their blu-ray priorities straight. They seem to have no direction right now.
