Default Wal-Mart sell Blu-Ray player.

I live in Stockton,CA.

I ask if they sell blu-ray player. They said yes but we keep the players in the back room. I was surprise to see Wal-Mart selling Samsung/Philip's blu-ray player. They only sell blu-ray player only. Hey if the largest retail store sell blu-ray player only. It sured looks good for blu-ray format.

Boy that's some marketing plan

They need to create a Blu-ray worthy demo and have the players stacked so that their customers can purchase them. Sheesh, that's almost a HD DVD move.

they dont sell blu ray only... and most stores have the philips bd player and either the rca or the hd-a2w, but of course always in the backroom... its because of theft and the mods (schematics, product placement.. whatever you might call it) doesnt have a spot for them. Although some stores have the hd dvd players on the shelves.

I used to see a blu-ray disc section at Wal-mart also. But at my local wal-marts it seems they have eliminated those also. Every once in a while they will put one in the PS3 games section but I have yet to find the movies on of the shelves at any of the stores. (no HDDVD either)

All 3 Walmarts in my area have Blu Ray movies. I have yet to see a player there, but then if its in the back would be hard to see .

all music, movies, and game displays are all controled by the vendors.. bad stocking or broken displays are their problem that they cant control, and that they really dont care to fix.

Problem is they need a person or manager in that dept that knows how to set up these things and some knowledge about the products. Anybody looking at a tv and player without a proper set up will think nothing when looking at it when they should be thinking Wow I gotta have that. Having 30 sets in a dept , all running off one feed is bound to look like crap. When you ask if they have any Blu-ray movies or players the response can't be whats that. Get the idea.

Our Walmart has both HD and BR movies and it also has BR player up and running right by the entrance to the electronics. I think it was the Sony one.
