Default The Mummy Returns - Movie Foul Ups

I was curious if anyone else noticed this foul up or did it happen to fast for you to question..

The beginning of the film when everyone was in the ruins looking for new stuff. Rick was walking down the corridor because he heard something and then relaxes a bit. As he turns around, he is startled by his son Alex.

They are face to face.

Can someone tell me how a 3 1/2' tall kid is face to face with a 6' tall adult, especially after he falls down and then gets back up and has to look UP at his dad and you can clearly see there is almost a 3' difference in height?

Lol. Did the film maker not notice this?

I noticed another possible foul up in this movie (I just finished watching it)

Near the end when they are fighting the scorpian king, Brendan Fraser is clearly shown running away from the sorpian king towards the exit. This is where the scorpian king eats the curator of the museum. Anyway, in the next scene, he appears to have inexplicible backtracked to where the scorpian king first emerged (away from the exit).

Why would he have run back towards to scorpian king instead of continuing towards the exit as he was originally intending?

Not really a complete foul up, but it doesn't make sense when logic is applied. To me, it just seemed like they ran out of set, so they went back to where they started so they had room to run away again.

I noticed that too. One scene he was in one place, next scene he was in a different place.

Well it's not really a foul up, but I thought it was funny watching The Mummy Returns and noticing how they tried to copy The Matrix. Especially the Scorpion King fight scene, and when Evelyn/Nefertiti and Anck Su Namun where fighting lol. Man I remember movies constantly ripping The Matrix off, but I can't remember which ones lol.

looks like there are quite a list of goofs in the movie.

The scene that really bugs me is when Patricia Velasquez raises her arm to stab herself, one can see her armpit is not shaved properly. In other scenes it is clean. Yuck! Sometimes HD has too much details. Never would have noticed it in the DVD version.

I heard rocket powered, 100+ MPH airships were all the rage in the 20's and 30's. Especially the one's that could navigate turns in narrow canyons at that speed. Incredible!

You need to accept this movie for what it is, sit back, and enjoy!

I have learned to be very comic like for these films. Do not take them as realistic. These are popcorn films. Enjoy the visuals, the sound, and the cheese!

Dumb entertainment, but with a certain charm.

I agree. I don't look at the film as how accurate it is. I do enjoy it. I just get confused sometimes by the obvious mistakes - like the one I posted about.

I was reading the link from IMDB about how Rick shot out the lock for Izzy's place and someone said you heard 3 deadbolts or whatever but Rick only shot one lock. I realized that - but also - I took it as a joke, not to be taken literally. I know they weren't that stupid

Umm.. I wouldn't want to be near her if she has the amazon jungle anywhere in her body. That's just not sexy.
