Would love to see a proper BD release as well, but not holding my breath.

Now,when Gosling is a big star,it's a logical to expect a BD release from Lions Gate.Hope it will happen soon.

There is now a German blu-ray. Not bad, but with a couple of issues.

The colors are very saturated. Much more than on the U.S. DVD. That may well be the director's intent, in which case that's fine. But it seemed less appropriate emotionally than the more monochrome U.S. look.

Also, there are some stability issues. The picture jitters occasionally and even dips out of focus for moments, as if there were registration issues during transfer. Again, these are not present on the U.S. DVD.

On the other hand, certainly there is more detail and better grain resolution - at least to my eye.

I ended up keeping both the German BR and my old DVD.

I watched it and this film does portray some right wing groups how they are and how they think. The way they think about "race" is rather nonsensical, but that goes for left and right supporters and I just don't care to educate them about it since they'd forget about it later on.

Saying "white" and then "Latin" is oxymoron, just for example.

You could tweak the video yourself to your liking and you'd have an ideal-ish release.

I saw The Believer years ago, on the old DVD. This film is extremely disturbing.

Since I don't own the DVD, I would probably be all for a Blu-ray - as long as it looked decent.
