Default 1080p/24 or 1080p/60 for pz85u

I just got a panny 46pz85u and was wondering if I should output 1080p/24 or 60 for bluray movies? I know the tv can accept both but which would be better. Thanks.

Nope, 1080p/60 I believe. The 800u adds 24p

EDIT: It accepts 24p, but not natively. It does 2:3 pulldown, I just read it on their website. The 800u does 2:3 pulldown and can natively accept 24p.

The 800u only adds some thx specifications and special thx mode.
That would be nice! But not all plasma do 72 Hz.

Like sokrman14 said, the pz80 and pz85 do 2:3 pulldown (they are 60 Hz sets) and the pz800 and pz850 can natively accept 24p, no pulldown (48 Hz).

I have the 800u!! It has the best picture with THX mode on, I have some bad news though for anyone who has this set..It has a BAD FLICKER on 24p/48hz
Its not the 'Filmic" that people say it really does "Flicker' on that setting. But Panny said that the more people call about it they will do a Firmware update to fix it..So CALL!!
THE SIZE 2 hd on Blu Rays give you a Inch more on Pixels...Without overscanning it our anything ..so it's like 16:10

I hope they fix that! This is a really important feature...

I thought (like for the pz80 and pz85):
Size 1: Scanning 95%
Size 2: Scanning 100%

So yeah Size 2 is the correct size to use (no overscan) for blu-ray.

But it's still 16:9 (1,920 (W) × 1,080 (H) pixels).

If you have a PS3 set it to 1080p60. Let the Cell do the 2:3 processing.
